Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how YoBPM ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
YoBPM is designed to minimize data collection. The App processes heart rate data locally on your devices to broadcast it via Bluetooth to third-party applications such as Zwift. We do not operate servers that store your heart rate or health data.
We may collect limited, non-personal information through analytics on this website (see Section 4).
2. Health Data
Heart rate data is read from your Apple Watch through Apple's HealthKit framework and is used solely to provide the broadcasting functionality you request. This data:
- Stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch during normal operation
- Is transmitted via Bluetooth only to devices you choose to pair with
- Is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes
Health data access requires your explicit permission through iOS and watchOS settings.
3. Third-Party Services
YoBPM integrates with third-party apps (e.g., Zwift) via standard Bluetooth heart rate monitor protocols. Once your heart rate is broadcast, those services handle data according to their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how third-party apps process your data.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
4. Website Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. Google may collect information such as pages visited, browser type, and general location. You can learn more about Google's practices at Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
We do not retain heart rate or health data on our servers. Website analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings.
6. Children's Privacy
YoBPM is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Because we do not store health data on our servers, most data remains under your control on your Apple devices. You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in your device settings.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
